The cost for a one hour group lesson is $35.00 per student. Or, for students who take regular lessons, $100.00 paid at the beginning of the month.
The cost for a one hour private lesson in Croton is $75.00. A one hour private lesson in your home ranges from $100.00 to $125.00 depending on location. Note: Lessons in your home are mostly booked right now. There is some availability after 7:00 on Tuesdays. Call to see if any weekday afternoons or evenings have become available.
A note on group lessons.
The hour consists of a lesson designed for the level of the students in the group,
followed by friendly games between students. If students are interested, they may play rated games with each other.
Our students tend to study chess the way one studies an instrument: weekly lessons reinforced by practice (puzzles and problems to solve) at home.
However, homework is not necessary, and those students who simply want to play and get pointers are welcome to participate.
